Who is Sri Mahakali

Kali is one of the main goddesses of Hindus. She is a very powerful goddess. Sometimes she is also called Chandi.

Durga and Kali killed many asuras (demons) who used to disturb human beings. Kali is a form of Durga that sprang from her head during Durga's battle with the demon Raktabeeja (who represents the power of thoughts, the power which constantly and unceasingly reproduce in the mind) whose blood when touch to the earth generated another Raktabeeja. To end this battle between Raktabeeja and Durga, Kali consumed every drop of blood until Raktabeeja bled out.

Kali is the highest form of the Supreme. Kali's name has two meanings; the first meaning is "dark" which means she represents the Void(brahman. The second meaning is "Time" which is the Destroyer of Everything.

Wrong views on Mahakali.

Sri Mahakali emerged from Durga to destroy an evil rakshasha. Her task was to destroy evil and keep the world safe and beautiful. During that time, Amma was ferocious, angry and full of destructive energy. At that point, She will be extra uncontrollable given the fact of the power She had. After that was done, Amma stayed on to protect the good from evil.

As such, how can she be considered as  Goddess who is cruel, bad and her devotees are bad people? Why do people offer animal sacrifice to her? Why do people fear her as she would harm them? Why do people assume that she is evil?

I have never read about Kali Maa having blood or meat as her meal neither having requested for sacrifice in the firm of blood or meat, so why are people still doing it?

Lord Vishnu came as Sriman Narashima and tore up the evil king having his blood spray out, so why aren't anyone offering sacrifice to them? The only reason I can think is it's because Sriman Narashima has to emerge out of Lord Vishnu to do it in order to destroy evil but still not go against the boon given by Lord Shiva to the king. Just like that, Mahakali had to emerge out of Durga Maa to destroy evil.

So lets give Amma the respect she needs by being clean and keeping her clean. Jai Kali Maa.

Miracles of Kali Maa

Saran has been visiting many temple along with his family from the age of 5. His family always visits Sri Maha Mariamman in KL City. His mother always strings "lime garland" for Pechi Amman, another form of Mahakali. She always advises him that Pechi Amman takes care of everyone like her own child. Anyhow, being a child, he kept avoiding Amman seeing the goddess with "fangs', holding weapons and staring down at her devotees.

Years passed, Saran grew into a humble and simple man. Finishing his education and returning back to Malaysia, it was time to look for a job. He kept putting in for vacancies but the response rates were rather low. After few months, he settled in a job. He worked hard but his management found faults and got him sacked. Anyhow, he didn't give up, he kept looking and he kept getting offers, but just like the others, he does well but always has issues with the management and ended up getting sacked.

Saran decided to visit Mahakali, a goddess that is feared by the "evil at heart", loved by the "good at heart". He prayed to Her, asked forgiveness for not visiting and believing in her and asked for her blessings. From that day, Saran started receiving calls from reputable companies. There were times when Saran has issues to pick and choose. He realised the blessing from Kali Maa, he realised that he had nothing to fear about her as long as his heart is clean and he trusted her with all his heart. From that day, he continued to visit Her in one of her humble home, Mid Valley Moogambigai Temple.

Jai Kali Maa.

Mid Valley Moogambigai Temple

Mid Valley Moogambigai Temple Sri Maha Moogambigai Amman temple is the new structure that was constructed after the owner of Mid Valley, a Chinese man, had a dream "calling of Moogambigai Maa to open a shrine for Her". This temple was constructed around the end of 1990's, along with the construction of mall. The untold story.... Over 100 years ago, this area was a bare land with a few houses and a "homemade outdoor temple". This temple was a place of worship for the community around the area and it was under the care of a humble family. The main temple structure was worshiped with daily prayers, community gathering and housed many religious events. Practically the whole area belonged to the temple. I used to visit the temple to worship Kali Maa, the Power of Sakhti and companion of Rudra. The main deities in the Original temple were Lord Ganesha, Lord Muruga, Lord Hanuman, Nageswary Amma, Lord Muniswarar, Buddha (under the Bodhi tree) and the All Powerful All Mighty Ever Protecting and Extremely Loving Goddess, Maha Kali Amma. Kali Maa is huge, standing almost 6' ft, holding protective armour and with eyes wide open to see and bless her devotees. I have been visiting Her since I was 10 and now, after 23 years, still visiting and getting her blessings. Until today, people from all walks of life come to the temple and worship Kali Maa. Many Chinese and Indians are seen putting joystick for Amma. Her blessings are always with her devotees. Remember, She is the most loving Goddess with the most ferocious outlook....
